Pathway Partner is here to help you get into or maintain a yoga and meditation practice.

We offer many different styles of yoga classes in the Metro-Detroit area, one that will suit you well. We also have a monthly Introduction to Meditation workshop that is perfect for a brand new meditator or for anyone who’s been meditating for years. We also have a 4-week mindful meditation workshop Being Present that will allow you to delve deeper into the meditation process and help you to learn how to live moment-to-moment.

Being Present Mindful Meditation & Living Workshop

Mindful Meditation & Living Workshop

This 4-week mindful meditation & living workshop will be offered each Tuesday in October (7th, 14th, 21st & 28th) from 6:30 – 8:30 p.m at the Mind’s Eye Bookstore in Mt. Clemens.  In this 4-week workshop we will learn the concept of mindfulness  and how the practice can help you expand awareness of how you relate to your mental, emotional and physical experiences.

Mindful living helps us to live more moment by moment. It helps us to be unconditionally present.  It helps us be present with whatever is happening in the moment, no matter what it is. We learn how to pay attention to the present moment – experience life with openness, curiosity and a willingness to be with what is. It is a great antidote to the stresses of our daily lives. With mindful living we are able to stop, breathe, observe and connect with our inner experience.
 In this workshop we will practice mindfulness in breathing, eating, yoga and meditation. This is a great workshop whether you are just establishing a meditation practice or want to expand on the one you already have.

This 4-week mindful meditation & living workshop includes:

The Marriage of Yoga & Meditation

When we come to our mat for our yoga practice, we usually start by quieting our mind and centering ourselves. For some of us this is harder than the actual asana practice, especially if you don’t have a daily meditation practice. It can be hard to settle down and quiet your mind. A great way to do this is to focus on your breath, watching it come in and out. A gentle web & flow much like the oceans edge. And when your mind starts to wander – just bring it back to the breath. This too can be difficult, but the more you practice it, the easier it’ll be. Since Meditation is one of the 8 limbs of yoga (Dhyana), it will eventually feel very, very natural to you to quiet your mind before a practice allowing yourself to be in the present moment throughout your practice.

NEW YOGA SERIES

Lunchtime Yoga at Center for the Healing Arts Wednesday’s from 12:15 – 1:00 p.m.
(First class on April 2nd is FREE)

Do you want to transition into your afternoon with a little less stress? Then this class is perfect for you. Join us each Wednesday for a Basic Hatha Yoga class that will help you unwind and renew for the rest of your day. This class is 45 minutes long, so it’s perfect for your lunch hour – whether you’re coming from work or running errands. Take time out of your busy day for you.
Be sure to bring a yoga mat and wear comfortable clothing. This class will run
in 4-week series and the cost is $25.00 for the series. Can’t commit, then you can drop-in and the cost is $8 per class.
